I can only sum it up by saying that it offers me the best of all worlds…. natural beauty, outdoor activities, history, year-around fun, less than 90-minutes to Chicago and most importantly it’s small-town charm.

One of the core values I was raised with as one of 14 children in Dubuque, Iowa, was that we all could give back of our time and talent to our community…Starved Rock Country allows me that opportunity to be involved as a Chamber Ambassador, a fundraiser, an event planner for a non-profit to the Women’s Inspired Network. Not to mention the area is not short on amazing restaurants and boutique shops. After you experience the charm of Starved Rock Country, you won’t be asking Why anymore but Why Not Starved Rock Country.
